Update! July 2020 (We are taking a break)
When a trombone player I barely knew approached me in our high school band room seven years ago, I definitely had no idea that this would kickstart one of the most fulfilling partnerships I would be a part of. What I have really enjoyed about Tiger and I's collaboration is that everything we did - we did it because we wanted to. I had never met someone who is so aligned with me in working style, mindsets, and approaches to creativity. Our collaboration has always been a breeze. Even as he moved away for university, we still found time to connect and jam on ideas. Although our capacity to produce has shrunk increasingly, what remains are still the trust and curiosity that have ensured the success of everything we’ve done.
As I have finished my undergrad and Tiger is pursuing a PhD at John Hopkins University in Neuroscience (!!!), we will be taking a break from Two Gents. That doesn’t we won’t continue to make work in the future as Tiger & Howard! It just means you might not hear update from this page in a while. However, I’ll still be active in my theatre work (including continuing to work on the Rex Project which started as a Two Gents work). You can find me here.
